Little Adventures In Boston

August 31, 2017

Hi there! I hope you're all doing well. Today I just wanted to drop by with this post, and I included some photos from the other day with my sister and our friend Jake! We headed over to the North End to grab some coffee and breakfast in the morning, and then after that we just wandered along and came across a small festival happening in Government Center. There was a ton of natural and organic artisans showcasing their work in their respective tents. From natural perfume to handmade jewelry, there were such impressive pieces and I was so glad I came across them all (and grabbed all of their business cards as well lol!)
As for a little life update, I've moved back home to commute to school for the fall semester. As much as I love having my own space again and an actual kitchen to cook food in, I really already do miss living in the city so much. It's such a different kind of feeling and atmosphere. I don't think I will be able to stay away for too long!
Moving back home though, I've been able to really take a moment and reflect on how much has changed. I also really have learned to appreciate so much since moving back. I've started to commute into the city for work, and classes start next week! I'm really excited to start school again and continue learning and becoming more knowledgeable in my major of fashion merchandising! I also really hope that things start to become more routinely and I will be able to start up my Youtube channel! Beauty is something that I am extremely passionate about and it has always been a dream to start one.
I have Saturday off this weekend and my mom and I are trying to come up with something to do! Have any suggestions? Leave them in the comments below!
Thanks for reading!

Styling My Shelves

August 30, 2017

Hi loves! Today I am giving you a little sneak peak of my room. I am loving the way it's turning out and I am practically done designing it. It has taken quite some time to get it to the way I have been imagining it- a whole bunch of saving up, buying pieces, and moving and rearranging big and heavy furniture. In honor of finally being done with my decor, I wanted to show you how I styled my cube storage. I got the 3x3 cube storage and I love it. It's the perfect size and holds a bunch of things. I really wanted to keep this cube shelving unit looking cohesive and having it flow all together. So, I opted for neutrals (what else is new) and wanted to have big contrasts within. I also like combining different textures.

The bottom shelves I wanted to use for some extra storage space. Each of the black bins are the perfect size and can hold a lot of things. I made a contrast by adding the light baby pink Burberry Brit box in the center. Inside, I store all of my craft supplies. The next shelf up are some more contrasts. I displayed my copy of "The Little Dictionary of Fashion" by Christian Dior and stood a pair of black suede heels next to it. In the center, I used a white Moroccan oil box which holds a lot of my lotions and perfumes in it. I also added a Louis Vuitton small handbag on top because I wanted to play around with the height a bit and add a bit of dimension. The wire basked on the right is great and I placed some faux peonies in it to give it some texture.

On the next shelf up, I played around with illumination. The "A" decor letter lights up and since it is black it stands out against the white shelf. I placed a small black candle next to it and a sparkly neutral clutch behind to give it some depth. Next, I wanted a different way to display my jewelry. Originally, I had a "t-stand" to display my necklaces and bracelets, but overtime I noticed that it was very inefficient and I was always getting them tangled in each other. So, I used my old acyrilic drawers and placed the velvet bottoms back in the drawers and it really creates such an elegant and sophisticated touch. They sparkle in the case and it really makes them look expensive. The final shelf, I displayed my pink Himalayan salt lamp (one of my favorite decor purchases ever). I placed my little rose gold bowl, a find from savers that I display my bracelets in and placed my most used perfume in the back to continue on with the depth factor.

I hope this helped you with styling inspiration! You can shop most of my decor pieces below! Xo

The August Edit: Three Beach Night Looks

August 15, 2017

As we near the middle of August, summer nights start to slowly drop by just a few degrees, especially when by the coast. So today, I've styled three outfits for beach nights in the end of summer months.
I hate being cold so if I am on the beach at night and the wind is just a bit breezy but there is a touch of humidity in the air, I like to wear some comfy boyfriend shorts and throw on a slouchy over sized knit sweater. This keeps me nice and toasty without being too bundled up. Add some cute cognac espadrilles and you're ready to go!
The next outfit is more for those really chilly days, maybe it's drizzling out or the clouds are covering the blue sky. I styled a comfy pair of joggers with a light weight cardigan and some easy slip on sneaks. I love this look and often wear something similar in September/October when I'm running errands.
The last look is perfect for a night out or date night on the beach. This long jumpsuit is sure to keep you feeling warm and really gives such an elegant and sophisticated feeling, while also elongating the figure. Pair it with some wedge espadrilles and a statement earring and you're good to go dance under the moon by the beach.

Wardrobe Diaries: Vol. 2

August 10, 2017

Hey loves! I went into Nordstrom Rack the other day and decided to try some things on! I was looking for more fall fashion but there wasn't too much out... I think I am just a little too early when it comes to that department haha!
This baby doll tee is SO SOFT though and it's such a steal at less than $25! It is such a staple piece.
I tried on these blush colored joggers and they were so so comfy! I think these would be great for a casual day off strolling the city. (Maybe when it's not 85 degrees though)
The next top is this ruffled sleeve sweater and I couldn't believe how cheap it was! This is a great layering piece and perfect for the chilly months ahead on lounging around days.
I tried on these black distressed skinny jeans from Joe's Jeans and really felt that these would be a great investment piece. I have heard some great things about Joe's and I can only imagine that these babies would last quite a long time.
Last piece I tried on was this long-line cardigan vest! I was SO IN LOVE with this piece. I think this would make for a great transitional piece and is very versatile. I can see this being great for work and also dressed up for cocktails.

Hope you found some inspiration from this post! Have a great day!
